An open letter to VolleyMetrics family and friends—and every person out there with a passion.

Today is a big day for all of us: VolleyMetrics signed a formal agreement to be acquired by Hudl, the global leader in sports video and analysis. As formal as our announcement may sound, this was a very natural decision once I saw how a partnership with Hudl could increase our ability to improve the game of volleyball.

Most people strive to work hard and beat their competitors. At VolleyMetrics, we worked hard enough to where we could join forces with our competitors and achieve something even more exciting. I could not be more enthusiastic about what this means for our customers, partners, employees and the entire volleyball community. Together with Hudl, we now have the potential to help tens of thousands of volleyball coaches and players around the globe while still improving our elite platform.

To our trusting customers: VolleyMetrics has built an amazing product, created a strong company culture, and above all built a reputation of caring for our volleyball friends—none of that will change. VolleyMetrics and Hudl share a vision of providing n the best volleyball platform and world-class customer service. The look and feel may change, but our quality, commitment and dedication to our customers will not.

To our VolleyMetrics employees: Onwards and upwards! Our team of 90 volleyball fanatics have made VolleyMetrics what it is today and will join the 900+ at Hudl who share the same passion to innovate and deliver excellence. Our hunger to innovate in the volleyball space continues to grow.

To our partners: We will remain the same people we have been and maintain partnerships with the best out there. We believe working with Hudl will accelerate our ability to deliver even better experience.

To our Silicon Slopes community: We are proud to be born and raised in Silicon Slopes, and consider ourselves an example of what can be achieved thanks to the support of a great state and community.

People might think this is what I have always dreamed. I want to make a difference in a sport that has given me so much, and this has been one milestone in that path. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity this provides my team, my company and my family, but we’re just getting warmed up.

Now that this deal is official, rest assured, I’m not going anywhere. I love volleyball and I love teams that dream the impossible dream. I’m extremely grateful and honored to continue growing VolleyMetrics as part of Hudl, with team members who pour their heart into the mission of capturing and bringing value to every moment in sports.

Thank you to my family, co-founder, teammates, partners, friends, shareholders, and all those who have believed in us.

Here’s to a future powered by Hudl,
Giuseppe Vinci
