This past weekend had a lot of shakeups with many of the teams in the poll losing at least one match. No. 6 Penn State lost to LBSU and CSUN. No. 7 UCSB lost to UCLA twice. No. 8 Hawaii lost to BYU twice. No. 9 Pepperdine lost to Stanford. No. 10 Ball State split two matches with Grand Canyon. While the poll isn’t changing much the record books may be changing. If someone has knowledge of what the record is for the longest streak of sets won is VolleyMetrics would like to know. With BYU’s sweep of Hawaii last night, they have won 33 sets in a row, 11 straight sweeps. Player of the Week: Brenden Sander   Brenden Sander came out on top of the VolleyMetrics Player of the Week Ratings for the second time this season. Sander, a 6’4 sophomore outside hitter from Huntington Beach, California, helped BYU win two straight sweeps against CSUN this past weekend. We once again have a unanimous number one team as UCLA continues to drop in the polls after being the unanimous number one just a few weeks ago.
