PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Brad Gretsch Harvard’s Brad Gretsch came out on top this week in the VolleyMetrics Player of the Week rankings. The 6’6 Middle Blocker and Outside Hitter led his team to two wins against Charleston (W.V.) over the weekend, winning in 4 and 3 games respectively. Player of the Week: Nicholas Olson   This week’s VolleyMetrics Rating’s Player of the Week is Loyola’s middle block, Nicholas Olson. Olson and Loyola had a close loss against Saint Francis (who is now ranked #15), but then bounced back the following day with a huge win against #10 Penn State. Player of the Week: Matt Tarantino   Our VolleyMetrics Ratings has selected Matt Tarantino of Pepperdine as the Player of the Week. Player of the Week: Nicolas Szerszen   For the third time this year, Nicolas Szerszen of Ohio State has been chosen as the VolleyMetrics Player of the Week thanks to his outstanding performance over the weekend. Szerszen had a career high 26 kills in Ohio State’s upset over #1 Long Beach State, helping Ohio State to its first win over a top-ranked team since 1998. Player of the Week: Brenden Sander   Brenden Sander came out on top of the VolleyMetrics Player of the Week Ratings for the second time this season. Sander, a 6’4 sophomore outside hitter from Huntington Beach, California, helped BYU win two straight sweeps against CSUN this past weekend.
